Founder’s Story
Sunita Choudhary
“Yoga didn’t just shape my body, it saved my life.”
For Sunita Choudhary, the journey into yoga was never about a studio or a class—it began as a lifeline. During one of the darkest chapters of her life, while navigating depression and suicidal thoughts, yoga became the anchor that pulled her out of despair and guided her back to herself.
What started over 20 years ago as a deeply personal healing practice has since blossomed into a decade-long calling to teach and serve. Today, yoga is Sunita’s non-negotiable daily ritual—her source of balance, strength, and clarity. Over the years, she has shared this gift with more than 1,000 students, reminding them that yoga is far more than physical postures—it is a complete way of life.
To deepen her understanding and guide others with authenticity, Sunita pursued formal study, earning a Master’s in Yoga from Uttarakhand Sanskrit University and completing certifications from India’s most respected institutions:
350-Hour Advanced Yoga Training, Sri Sri School of Yoga
200-Hour Yoga Training, Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga
QCI Certification
Her work is not limited to yoga alone. Sunita is also a GMCKS Pranic Healer, bringing energy-based healing into her practice, and a Public Health Consultant, bridging ancient wisdom with modern evidence-based practices. This unique integration allows her to guide individuals toward complete well-being—body, mind, and spirit.
At home, she is a devoted mother to a spirited daughter and a wife supported by a partner who has stood beside her through every season of life.
Through Oj Yog Kendra, founded in 2016, Sunita’s greatest aspiration remains clear: to share the same transformative gift that saved her life, and to help others discover their own path to healing, balance, and self-discovery.
